When Joyce's mother passed away at 90 in 1998, we did not have a funeral, but the family got together a couple of weeks later for a memorial. Joyce created a very simple 5.5" x 8.5", 8 page booklet (two letter size pages folded in half) in WordPerfect with a recent photo of her mother on the front cover and a scan of a relevant artifact on the back cover, the usual statistics on the third page and two poems, one about how we felt about her passing on the center two pages and one of her favorite poems (The Guy In the Glass, by Dale Wimbrow, (c) 1934) on page six. We printed enough of the booklets so that each guest, including the children, had at least one copy as a keepsake.
